Advent Calendar – Day 14

I have nothing against gnocchi, besides they are boring, but it was the only way to fit M, N, Ñ in one image 😉 What else is going on here? Well I’m using them as a symbol for all the boring children’s literature that I find in the bookstores, filled with themes that kids don’t care about. Like school, doing good, being the weird one, long manuals on emotions or about the world. What happened with fun stories set in this imperfect world and with real like characters? Sure, there are still a few great books, but a few.

No tengo nada en contra de los ñoquis, aparte de que me aburren, pero era la única forma de poner la M, N y Ñ en una imagen. ¿Que más pasa en esta ilustración? Los ñoquis aquí los uso como símbolo de todo esa literatura infantil que se encuentra en las librerías, llena de temas que no les interesan a los niños: el cole, hacer el bien, ser el raro, densos manuales de emociones o para entender el mundo. ¿Dónde están las historias divertidas, que transcurran en este mundo imperfecto y con personajes cercanos a la realidad? Vale, también hay algunos libros geniales, pero son los menos.
